Coastal Resilience Plan - The City Planning Department is developing a Coastal Resilience Master Plan to mitigate risk from sea level rise, protect and enhance habitat, and support access to the coast and recreational opportunities.

The plan includes the development of nature-based solutions for six locations along the coast. Nature-based solutions are projects designed after natural ecosystems and processes, such as restoration of wetlands, creation of dunes, or creation of oyster reefs. Nature-based solutions provide multiple benefits to communities, including reduced flooding, cleaner water, recreation opportunities, and provision of habitat for plants and animals.

The City is seeking your input on the draft project designs for each of the project sites within the Coastal Resilience Master Plan. Feedback from community members will help inform the project designs. Thank you for taking the time to participate in the surveys and help shape the future of our coast! The survey may found here
