Mission Bay Parks Committee Meeting - The Parks Committee and the Funding Oversight Committee will meet on Tuesday May 12th at 6:00 PM in the Santa Clara Rec Center on Santa Clara Pl. There is no planned funding for sea wall restoration in FY2027. These meeting are your opportunity to voice your concerns. Agendas for the meetings may be found using the below link
Park and Rec. budget cut proposals that might effect Mission Beach - The beach mechanized crew is impacted in the currently proposed budget . 6 positions out of the 15 mechanized crew will be cut in the next fiscal year if changes aren’t made. This will cause big impacts on the beach. Servicing fire rings, illegal fires clean up, berm maintenance during winter, sand sifting/grooming, trash pick up will all be impacted. Now is the time to voice your budget concerns to all NINE city council offices.
Mission Beach Town Council General Meeting - The MBTC general meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday May 13th in the Community Room at Belmont Park (above the arcade). Membership will vote on whether to support taking "a position" on two items approved by the Board on May 6th.
1. Addressing public safety and access concerns caused by large events at Mariner’s Point.
