Mission Beach Precise Planning Board - The Mission Beach Precise Planning Board, the City of San Diego’s recognized planning group for Mission Beach, will hold its nominations for Area Representatives on February 17, 2026. The Election for community members to vote on eligible candidates for Area Representatives will be held on March 17, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Belmont Park Community Room, 3146 Mission Boulevard, Second Floor (North side of Belmont Park above the “Arcade” sign).

E-bikes - New signage prohibiting e-bikes and other electric modes of transportation have been posted along the boardwalk in North Mission Beach and more are coming to South Mission and Bay Side Walk. In conjunction with this new signage the SDPD is increasing enforcement of the use of e-bikes and they are illegal even if not being ridden in power mode.
Oversized Vehicles - Illegally parked oversized vehicles continue to be parked in parking lots through out Mission Beach. Due to a settlement by the the the San Diego Police Department is restricted on how they can enforce ordinances. Only specially trained officers are allowed to take enforcement action. The enforcement team prioritizes their actions based off of Get It Done Reports. So if you would like to see more enforcement in Mission Beach you must report illegal oversized vehicle parking via the Get It Done App. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
