Area Rep openings, January meeting schedule, Toys for Tots update

Openings for Area Reps in areas 8 and 9 - The MBTC currently has openings for individuals to fill the Area Rep positions in Areas 8 and 9. To serve in these positions you must be a resident, property owner or business operator in either Area 8 or 9.
Area 8: is The north side of San Jose Place to and including the south side of San Rafael Place;
Area 9: is The north side of San Rafael Place to and including Pacific Beach Drive.
Area Representatives serve as members of the Board of Directors, keep the Board of Directors advised of conditions within their areas, and coordinate Council activities within their respective areas.
Each Area Representative shall strive to contact the residents, property owners and business operators in their areas and help communicate issues of those individuals to the Council and to communicate the activities and issues of the Council to the members of the community. The Area Representatives shall coordinate any community activities between the Mission Beach individuals and the Council. The Area Representatives shall strive to make the individuals of their areas aware of the Council and offer membership to those residents. They will also help solicit the renewal of memberships.

January Board Meeting - The MBTC January Board meeting will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday January 7th at THE POINT, 1010 Santa Clara Pl., and via zoom. The agenda for the meeting may be found using the below link

Any member of the MBTC may attend board meetings, but shall not be allowed to vote, make, or second motions. However, an attending member may make as many suggestions as allowed by the presiding officer of the meeting.
January General Meeting - The MBTC General Membership Meeting will be held on Wednesday January 14th in the Community Room at Belmont Park. The agenda will be posted at a later date.
Holiday Decorations - Thank you to Sarah Mattinson and the MBTC Improvement Committee volunteers for once again for spreading holiday cheer by decorating sign posts throughout Mission Beach!
Toys for Tots Drive Update - The 6th Annual Mission Beach Community Toys for Tots Drive held in December was a tremendous success collecting record of over 900 toys! This was a a coordinated effort by the Mission Beach Town Council, The Mission Beach Women's Club and The Plunge at Belmont Park. A HUGE THANK YOU and round of applause goes out the the Staff and Management of The Plunge which donated a FREE Day Pass to the Plunge with each toy dropped off there.
