May MBTC Board Meeting - The May Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday May 7th at 5:00 pm in the Mission Beach Women's Club 840 Santa Clara Pl. The agenda for the meeting may be found at

Any member of the MBTC may attend board meetings, but shall not be allowed to vote, make, or second motions. However, an attending member may make as many suggestions as allowed by the presiding officer of the meeting.

Memorial Day First Responders Luncheon - The annual First Responders Luncheon sponsored by the Mission Beach Women's Club and the MBTC will be held Monday May 26, from 9:00am to 4:00 pm. Volunteers to help at the event are needed from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. To volunteer reach out to Maureen McGowan maureenmcgowan01@gmail.com

Individually packed snacks and deserts are also needed.

Second Trash Pick Up and City Trash Fee - As discussed in the previous blog, If the proposed FEE for trash service plan is adopted by the city, it would make it much more difficult for Mission Beach to get a Second Summer Trash Pick Up. Property owners may protest this fee by mailing in the form mailed to them. Anyone that owns more than one property can submit a protest form for each parcel number. If you did not receive the mailing from the city or have misplaced it you can print one out using the below link

Many people are unware of this proposed fee and their ability to protest it. Consider printing out copies of the form and give them to any friends and family who own property in the city of San Diego. Any property that does not return a protest form will be considered to be a yes vote for the fee.

Please continue to email Jennifer Campbell's office and her staff requesting that our Second Summer Trash Pick Up be continued for health and sanitation reasons. A fly infestation this summer will not only affect residents but will have a severe impact on local restaurants and businesses that depend on increased summer business to survive.
