Roll out of Organic Waste Containers - Residents in the Mission Beach community with waste hauling services from the City of San Diego will receive a kitchen pail for in-home food scrap collection and a green bin from September 26 – 29, 2023. The delivered new green bin will be placed as close as possible in front of the customer’s residence.
Food scraps, food-soiled paper, and yard trimmings (referred to as organic waste) can all be discarded in the green bin for weekly collection on the same day as the customer’s regularly scheduled trash collection day and normal collection location.
Residents can exchange their delivered green bin for a different size or request additional green bins.
Please allow one business day after receiving the delivered container before requesting a green bin exchange for a different size or an additional green bin.
Residents who wish to request a green bin exchange will be able to do so at no charge within 14 calendar days of initial delivery and only if the green bin is unused and still new.
All green bin requests can be submitted on the Get It Done or by calling 858-694-7000.
