Oversized Vehicle Enforcement - Vehicle Habitation
Due to a settlement approved by the city council of a lawsuit field by a homeless advocate group the SDPD is extremely limited in their ability to enforce vehicle habitation and oversized vehicle regulations. Vehicle habitation basically cannot be enforced and oversized vehicle regulations can only be enforced by officers specially trained to do so. This group of officers rotates through different areas of the beach community almost every night doing what enforcement they are allowed to do. They operate mostly off of Get It Done complaints. To get action in our local beach and bay parking lots please report Oversized Vehicle violations using the Get It Done App.
The campers in our beach communities want to stop any enforcement and are organizing to try and do so, see the below flyer for an example

SAVE THE DATE - Saturday December 6th
The MBTC along with The Plunge will be holding our 6th Annual Toys for Tots toy drive and Beach Clean Up. More details to come.
